James Boock’s work has a distinct focus on user interaction and experience. The variety of working across different mediums (industrial to interfaces) and scales (envrionments to consumer electronics) has enabled him to work through complexity at a detailed level whilst maintaining a holistic product vision.

In 2015 he co-founded the design studio Dubloon and since 2021 has been working as a Senior Designer at the Robotic Technology Centre for Crown Equipment Corporation working on autonomous and semi-autonomous lift truck systems from fleet management web apps, to on vehicle interfaces and outward communication.

He holds an MA in Product Design from the Royal College of Art and a BDI in Industrial Design from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand.
